Lost + Found In Translation by Christina Cappelli

This project was inspired by microbial movements, taking lifeforms that are typically invisible to the naked eye and bringing them into an interactive human scale. In this installation, humans can see themselves within a microcosmic virtual scene.

Using two screens, openFrameworks, microscopic footage and Volvox algae participation, the aim is to think about what is lost and what is found in the translation of communication between nature, machine and human experience. I hope this project brings curiosity to an unseen world while bringing joy to ours. Huge thank you to @tardibabe for the algae footage!
